Getting Spammed Back to the Stone Age (Update)

Update: So far, so good.  Akismet has zapped 100% of the comment spam.

I am being carpet-bombed with comment spam this weekend, so I have activated the Akismet plug-in.  In four years of blogging this is the first time that I have ever had this problem — I hope Akismet will do the trick.
