According to iTunes I added 586 music tracks to my library in 2008 — this number excludes music that I added exclusively for Laurie and the kids, audiobooks, old time radio shows, etc.
Here are the albums I bought or was given (in the order I acquired them):
- Bringing It All Back Home – Bob Dylan
- Let It Be – The Beatles
- From Nashville to Memphis: The Essential 60′s Masters (5 Discs) – Elvis Presley
- Walk a Mile in My Shoes: The Essential 70′s Masters (5 Discs) – Elvis Presley
- Command Performances: The Essential 60′s Masters II (2 Discs) – Elvis Presley
- A Night at the Opera - Queen
- 49:00 - Paul Westerberg (This album is no longer available.)
- That Lucky Old Sun – Brian Wilson
- Tell Tale Signs: The Bootleg Series Volume 8 (2 Discs) – Bob Dylan
- Chinese Democracy - Guns ‘N Roses
- Little Honey – Lucinda Williams
- Beatles for Sale – The Beatles
- Talking Book - Stevie Wonder
- Avalon Sunset – Van Morrison
- Veedon Fleece - Van Morrison
- Layla & Other Assorted Love Songs – Derek and the Dominos
- Definitive Collection Mini LP Replica (12 Discs) – Led Zeppelin
It is no surprise to my regular readers that I am not exactly on the cutting edge of musical trends. Only 4 of these albums are from 2008, and my favorite of those (by a good stretch) is Bob Dylan’s Tell Tale Signs which is a collection of his leftovers from the past 20 years.
